Well, most of my songs are pretty childish, though they might be of limited filkiness, and one has banned in an elementary school. Hmm, the fact that it had enough kid appeal to have to be banned is a good sign. So here are some horrible songs:

"Barfy the Seasick Hedgehog"
As far as I can tell, this one is actually a hit with the kids who have heard it. My brother Dave even argues that this one is morally uplifting, in a sort of twisted way I have words and a really ditsy rendition of the music here: http://members.aol.com/petealway/Music-Barfy.htm

"Frenobulax"
Frenobulax (where normal folk have twenty-seven toes) includes an audience participation section--"Argle blargle argle blargle blarf blarf blarf" which seems to make adults act childish. I don't have it on the web, but I could correct that.

Pigeon Medley

Words, but not music, are here: http://members.aol.com/petealway/life.html after the microwave Krispie treats recipe but before the rant about the moon. The source toons are refered to by color codes. I guess I could get it its own page.

The Dirt Woman Song
This is certainly childish, but I'm not sure how to measure its child-friendliness. I can't tell if the cheery-ose death reference is tasteless in a good way or a bad way. But here is a link: http://members.aol.com/petealway/Dirt.htm

I'm fond of "Waltzing with Bears" (in Rise Up Singing, itself an indispensable book for kids' concerts) and "The Owl and the Pussycat" (as sung by Oak, Ash and Thorn, TTTO "Farewell Sweet Lovely Nancy"). "Never Set the Cat On Fire" by Frank Hayes is a perennial favorite.

Of my own songs, kids seem particularly fond of Bugs
